We are delighted that you have chosen to support the Eric Liddell High Performance Sports Scholarship Fund. I know both Sir Chris and Katherine have been thrilled by the response to date. Edinburgh has a history of attracting quality sporting athletes and this donation will play its part in supporting the next Hoy, Grainger or Liddell, and help to establish a lasting legacy. As you know from your own experiences, competing in sport at the highest level is like studying; time consuming and expensive. To do both together is demanding. Your gift to this important new scholarship fund will help ensure that our world class athletes have the opportunity to compete and, on retirement from their sport, have a secure future due to their world class education at the University of Edinburgh.
