Named after one of our most inspirational sporting alumni, this fund serves as an active and impactful way to celebrate and continue the inspirational legacy of Sir Chris at the University of Edinburgh. The fund will provide essential financial support to elite student athletes who are pursuing success in their academic and athletic endeavours. We believe that elite sport can have a transformational power on individuals and the communities they inspire. We also believe in the transformational power of education. University is a unique setting where elite sport and education are combined. However, this is often impossible without financial support due to additional travel, training, equipment and competition costs for elite athletes. By donating to this fund, you are giving our student athletes the opportunity to fully commit to their sporting and academic goals, creating exceptional athletes and individuals who are well-positioned to excel in life after sport.
