Centre for Pesticide Suicide Prevention

Professor Michael Eddleston originally visited Sri Lanka to study new treatments for snake bite, but his research work in the local hospitals made him realise that suicide through poisoning posed a far bigger problem. Michael’s work links with the World Health Organization and Food & Agriculture Organisation to find effective strategies to prevent suicide. The Centre aims to prevent 100,000 suicides each year; your generous donation will help us achieve our goal.
